New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Against the backdrop of certain recent Chinese actions that amount to questioning Jammu and Kashmir’s integration with India, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on Friday hoped that Beijing would maintain “neutrality” on the affairs related to the State.

During an interaction with a group of journalists here, Krishna said: “We expect China to be sensitive to our core concerns. That is how relationships are built, relations are nurtured. So we are asking China to respect our sensitivities like on Arunachal Pradesh and other issues.”

On a question on China issuing stapled visas to those hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, he said New Delhi has made it clear to Beijing that it was not acceptable and that there was need to be sensitive to each other’s concerns to build relations.

“We have conveyed to them (China) that we do not accept the stapled visas and we are not going to accept these,” Krishna said.

On Chinese presence in Jammu and Kashmir, Krishna said: “China has always restricted neutrality as far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, we hope that they continue maintain that position.

“Jammu and Kashmir by virtue of accession is an integral part of India,” he asserted.

On border dispute with China he said: “We have good working relations with China, India’s policy is to have good relations with neighbors, It doesn’t mean that all of our problems have been resolved, there are outstanding issues, special representatives are talking to each other.

On strained relations with China, he said: ” I wouldn’t call it a strain; they look at it from different perspective, we have conveyed the Indian perspective to them. (ANI)
