Krishna condoles demise of Arjun Singh
March 5th, 2011 - 3:31 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Mar.5 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna has condoled the death of veteran Congress leader Arjun Singh.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on his behalf, Krishna said: “It is with great sorrow that I learnt of the sad demise of fellow parliamentarian and veteran leader Shri Arjun Singh.
He stood for the rights of traditionally marginalized sections of the society. His contribution to the cause of the people of the country, and of Madhya Pradesh, cannot be forgotten.
His qualities as an able administrator, leader of the masses and parliamentarian shone through in various prominent positions that he occupied in his long public life.
I pray to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and give strength to all his kith and kin, friends and admirers to withstand this irreparable loss”. (ANI)
