February 18th, 2011 - 6:07 pm ICT by ANIKolkata, Feb 18 (ANI): The two-day wildlife film festival in Kolkata that aimed to highlight the problems faced by birds and animals drew a huge crowd.
Wildlife activists attended the two-day film festival, which focused on the issues of climate change, deforestation, urbanization and other such problems that are
destroying the wildlife.
The film festival started on 17th February concluded today.
The film festival screened nine wildlife and environmental films which would help in creating awareness about the decreasing population of different species in the world.
“You see it’s very important to sensitize audiences to the impact of climate change on our lives and unless we sensitize audiences, things are not going to change, and therefore it’s very important to bring about this awareness, most importantly not only in us but also in our children,” said Radhika Singh, Project Manager, British Council of Kolkata.
