Kolkata, Mar.23 (ANI): Fans in Kolkata are praying for Team India’s success in the quarter-final match against Australia on Thursday. The match will be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Special prayers were conducted on the banks of River Hooghly for about 30 minutes amidst drumbeats and cymbals.

Karthik Chattopadhyay, a priest said: ” I am performing these rituals because India will qualify for the semi-finals only after winning the quarter-final match against Australia.”

” Since India has not been performing well, we are concerned and I am praying to lessen the pressure,” he said.
Chattopadhyay also said that, India would have to tackle three key Australian players, Brett Lee, Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson, to win the match. (ANI)
