Kidnapped Delhi toddler rescued, four arrested
April 27th, 2011 - 2:06 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): The eighteen-month-old boy, who was kidnapped allegedly by a domestic help from his Delhi home three days ago, has been rescued from Faridabad on Wednesday.
Four people have been arrested, including the maid - who took the boy out of his house on the pretext of taking him for a walk.
“We have rescued the boy from Faridabad, near Badarpur border around midnight and arrested four persons, including two women. One of the two women arrested is the maid,” a senior police official said.
Ishan, the son of a businessman, was kidnapped by maid Seema from Maharani Bagh on Sunday. She was hired by the child’s family just 10 days back without any verification,
A case under Section 363 (kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code was registered. If convicted, one can be punished with imprisonment for a term, which may extend to seven years and shall also be liable to fine. (ANI)
