Kashmiri RTI activist named for citizen journalist award

New Delhi, Feb 12 (IANS) A Kashmiri Right to Information (RTI) activist has been nominated for the second edition of Citizen Journalist Awards instituted by a national TV channel.
Muzaffar Bhat, who is based in Kashmir, has been spearheading the Right to Information campaign in the state. He has been instrumental in creating awareness about the law in his state and has been in the forefront of the RTI movement.
Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan will Monday give away the awards intituted by the CNN-IBN channel. for which there are 10 nominations.
