Srinagar, June 1 (ANI): Srinagar observed a shutdown on Monday over the alleged rape and murder of two Muslim women by security forces.
All shops business establishments, educational institutions remained closed during the shutdown call given by the All Parties Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference.
Massive protests and clashes erupted in Shoipan region on Saturday after the bodies of two young women were found.
Government authorities denied the incident and said the women had drowned in a stream. A police statement said the post-mortem revealed no marks of violence. (ANI)
