Kashmir gets best NCC contingent award

New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir National Cadet Corps (NCC) directorate was Friday adjudged the best contingent at the Republic Day camp of the voluntary youth movement of defence services that ended here. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh presented the trophy to Cadet Saddam Hussain of Doda on behalf of the contingent during a rally at the Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment.
Over 2,000 NCC cadets from all over the country were in the capital to attend the month-long camp organised in connection with the Republic Day Parade Wednesday.
