Kasabs police custody ends today
February 13th, 2009 - 11:49 am ICT by ANINew Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): The police custody of Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of the 26/ 11 terror strikes, ends today.
Kasab had been remanded to police custody till today for his involvement in the shootout at the Cama and the Albless Hospital in South Mumbai.
He has been in police custody since his arrest on the night of November 26 and has been booked in 12 cases by the city police.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Government registered a case against Kasab.
Media reports said that the charges were filed against Kasab and 13 other people on the basis of a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) probe into the Mumbai attacks.
Islamabad ordered the FIA probe after India alleged that the Mumbai attacks were plotted in Pakistan.
Kasab and Ismail Khan attacked the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus on November killing 58 persons and injuring over 100. (ANI)
