Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa slams Rahul GandhiApril 18th, 2009 - 11:05 pm ICT by ANI
Bangalore, Apr 18 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa on Saturday slammed Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi for his announcement that the Central Government would grant Rs. 11,000 crore for Bangalore’s development.
“Who has such powers? Is it the young Gandhi or Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh? Who is administering the Union Government? The Congress party is misguiding people. But people of Karnataka are intelligent. They have realized the truth,” Yeddyurappa said while addressing an election rally here.
Yeddyurappa also dismissed Gandhi’s claim that State Government failed to utilise Rs. 1000 crore granted by the Centre for implementing the employment guarantee scheme.
“The Centre sanctioned only Rs. 380 crore and the State has spent Rs. 350 crore,” he added. (ANI)
