London, July 14 (ANI): English actor John Cleese has sold his California ranch for a reputed 8 million pounds.

Cleese had put his 14.6-acre property in Montecito on the market for about a year, and the price had at first been listed for 14 million pounds.

The 68-year-old Monty Python star had earlier this year split from his third wife, psychotherapist Alyce Faye Eichelberger.

The main house has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and swimming pool, and there is a 16,000-square-foot equestrian barn.

Cell phone pioneer Craig McCaw, 58, bought the house. (ANI)
