Jihadi outfit behind Musharraf, Benazir attacks involved in Marriott blast

Lahore, Nov 1 (ANI): Pakistani investigators have stated that members of the banned Harkatul Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI) were involved in the Marriott Hotel suicide attack on September 20 that killed more than 70 people.

Pakistans Samaa TV quoted investigators as saying that the suspects arrested after the suicide attack in Islamabad belonged to the HUJIs Saifullah group.

The group has also been accused of carrying out attacks against former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and on the October 2007 rally of slain Pakistan Peoples Party chairwoman Benazir Bhutto in Karachi, according to the Daily Times. (ANI)
