New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader and son of state Chief Minister Shibu Soren, Hemant Soren skipped meeting called by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to discuss the way forward for forming new government in the state on Saturday.
The BJP has invited leaders of all its allies and its state unit to Delhi to discuss the matter on Saturday.
Party is also holding its parliamentary board meeting after discussions with allies.
Meanwhile, the BJP is studying various options after the JMM offered to support a Government led by it.
Hemant Soren, had earlier written letters to the BJP leadership, expressing their preference at remaining aligned with the party.
“We held discussions with the leadership our Jharkhand unit. We had requested them to come to Delhi and have talks with us and in detail. They have apprised us about the emerging political scenario in Jharkhand. And today evening, at 3.30 pm we are going to hold discussions with our alliance partners,” said Ananth Kumar, General Secretary.
Kumar said Parliamentary Board, would then be apprised of the result of discussions.
“And after these two rounds of discussions we are going to apprise the discussions to the Parliamentary Board and later the Parliamentary Board will take appropriate decision,” said Kumar.
BJP had withdrawn support to Soren’s led coalition government on Wednesday after he voted for the UPA led Government during a cut motion brought up by the opposition in the Lok Sabha, on Tuesday.
On Friday, the BJP had said it would withhold its decision to withdraw support from the Soren-led government till it consults with its alliance partners in the state.
