New Delhi, Nov 4 (ANI): American singer Jessica Simpson had to rush to hospital when her best friend was injured by the paparazzi, while trying to protect her.

The incident occurred on November 2 as Simpson was leaving the Madeo restaurant in Los Angeles with her hairdresser Ken Paves, the China Daily reported.

Paves, who was attempting to shield Simpson, 28, from the hoards of paparazzi outside the eatery, was accidentally struck, causing blood to start trickling down his face.

The singer, Paves, and another male friend were immediately driven to Los Angeles” Cedars-Sinai hospital, where Paves had to have stitches for the cut.

There were so many paparazzi waiting for Jessica and trying to get a picture of her that they all started pushing, an onlooker said.

Jessica was ducking down and Ken and her other male friend were trying to cover her and that’’s when Ken was hit in the face with a camera, the onlooker added.

No police reports have yet been filed on the incident. (ANI)
