J-K encounter: Top Hizbul militant killed, two escape in Rajouri

Triyaath (Rajouri) Feb.15 (ANI): Security forces gunned down a top militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit after a prolonged encounter at Bagla Forest of Triyath region in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning.
The killed militant has been identified as a Section commander Mohammad Bashir alias Abu Vikas, who was a resident of Sidool Gulabgarh Reasi District.
Police have recovered one A.K. 47 Rifle, 3 magazines, a wireless set and other ammunition from their possession.
“Based on information a joint party of JKP (Jammu and Kashmir Police) and 63 Rashtriya Rifles launched an operation in the forest, during the search of the docks and the jungle area fire was from a docks which was in the upper region. In the encounter one militant was killed however two of his accomplice managed to escape,” said Shabir Chowdhary, ASP Rajouri. (ANI)
