IT officials start interrogating Raju

Hyderabad, Feb 21 (ANI): The income tax officials have started interrogating former Satyam founder Ramalinga Raju at the Chanchalguda jail here in connection with the 7,800 crore accounting fraud.
The four-member I-T team is likely to grill Raju on several issues, including whether the money had been siphoned off or he had inflated the income.
The 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of a Hyderabad court on February 18 had allowed the I-T department to question Raju.
The IT had sought three days time to examine and record the Raju’’s statement, to question him on February 21.
Earlier, the SEBI interrogated and recorded the statement of Raju and his brother and Rama Raju for three days from February 4.
On January 7, Ramalinga Raju confessed to fraudulent manipulation of accounts over several years by inflating the company’’s profits and assets. (ANI)
