Is Sensex surge helping aam aadmi? Sidhu asks Congress

He gave away packed vegetables to housewives as Diwali gifts to lodge a symbolic protest against the rising inflation and said, “We want to make the government aware - that you talk of the Sensex, you talk of the country’s economy, you keep saying that the Congress is with the poor people, then we have this price hike that we have seen in pulses last year and vegetables this year, especially onions that are the basic ingredient of any family’s kitchen.”

“Where is the common man benefiting from this GDP growth, how is he benefiting from the Sensex spiral and India’s economic growth story?, he questioned.

He said that such figures about economy looks great on paper but its benefits have not reached the common people.

“This benefit that we have only on paper as yet, needs to percolate to the common man, to the masses,” he added. (ANI)
