New Delhi, Nov 16 (ANI): The Foreign Minister of Iran, Manouchehr Mottaki, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here today.
Mottaki is on a two-day visit to India.
The two leaders reportedly discussed issues like the trilateral gas pipeline and terrorism originating from Pakistan.
This is the first high-level contact since the re-election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad in July.
Discussions on collaborative projects like development of integrated port-road-rail infrastructure are also likely to crop up.
Mottaki is also scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart SM Krishna.
Talks on Iran’s controversial nuclear programme are also likely to be discussed between the two leaders.
This is Mottaki’s second visit since 2006. He will also meet Vice President Hamid Ansari. (ANI)
