Injured Haddin ruled out of IPL
April 29th, 2011 - 10:01 pm ICT by ANIKolkata, Apr 29(ANI): Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a fractured finger.
An MRI scan on Friday revealed the injury that the wicket-keeper batsman sustained during Australia’s tour of Bangladesh has not healed completely.
The 33-year-old is concerned any further damage to the finger may jeopardize his Australia career and is now expected to undergo surgery in a bid to correct the problem.
He played only one match for the Knight Riders this season, in which he scored 18 runs.
“We will make an announcement on his replacement in due course,” KKR coach Dav Whatmore said.
KKR had roped in the Australian player for 325,000 dollars. (ANI)
