Indo-Pak WC semi-final clash: Security beefed up around Dhoni’s residence
March 30th, 2011 - 8:56 pm ICT by ANIRanchi, Mar 30 (ANI): Security has been stepped up around the residence of Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni here on Wednesday in view of the ongoing World Cup semi-final clash against Pakistan in Mohali.
Half-a-dozen security officials were deployed around Dhoni’s residence just before the match began today afternoon.
The action comes in view of the attack on Dhoni’s residence after Bangladesh defeated India in their opening match of the 2007 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Dhoni’s fans were seen cheering for the Indian team’s victory on the streets of Ranchi.
“We have the world’s confidence in Dhoni. He is lion-hearted and the favourite of all - girls, youth and the older generation. We have our confidence in Dhoni,” said Mahendra Jedia, a fan.
