Indo- Pak border forces greet each other on Eid

Wagha border, Sep 21 (ANI): In a unique gesture,officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers exchanged sweets and greeted each other at the Wagha Border check post on the occasion of Eid- ul- Fitr.
Brigadier Kamran, a wing commander of the Pakistan Rangers offered sweets to his BSF counterpart Commandant Ram Chander Singh.
“The minor ups and down between both sides keep on happening. But if we can rise above the misunderstandings created by miscreants between the two nations then we will be able to share happiness together and would be able to resolve our own issues as well issue of the world, “said Brigadier Kamran.
The long-kept tradition of exchanging sweets and pleasantries between border forces is being followed on the festival of lights and Eid.
Officials of Border Force of India and Pakistan believe that this goodwill gesture helps the countries to share happiness and celebrations with each other.
“As the convention goes we convey the greetings on this auspicious day of Eid to Pakistan rangers on behalf of DG BSF and we wish peace and tranquillity on the border,” said Commandant Ram Chander Singh. (ANI)
