New Delhi, Dec 28 (ANI): The leaders of the major political parties here in India have condoled the death of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
“Leaders of the major Indian political parties, meeting at the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, unanimously condoled the tragic death of Benazir,” Sanjaya Baru, media advisor to the Prime Minister told reporters here.
“They strongly condemned the brutal assassination and expressed their resolve to defeat the forces of terrorism in the region,”
Baru further said that hailing Benazir as an “outstanding leader of South Asia” and the voice of moderation and democracy in Pakistan, the leaders “conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the members of the family and the people of Pakistan.”
Benazir was assassinated in Rawalpindi on Thursday and was buried today in Larkana in Sindh. (ANI)
