Perth, Oct 1 (ANI): Indian Jones has topped a new poll of The Greatest Movie Characters Of All Time.

The role, played by Harrison Ford, was followed by Heath Ledger’’s haunting Joker role in The Dark Knight, which came second in Empire Magazines list of 100 characters, reports Perthnow.

Editor Rod Yates said it was no surprise that Indiana Jones, played by Harrison Ford, took the top spot, but said the late Ledger’’s Joker in the Dark Knight was also impressive.

Darth Vader, the iconic American film villain of George Lucas” award-winning science fiction saga Star Wars, came third, while Captain Jack Sparrow, a character from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise portrayed by Johnny Depp, stood fourth.

Rounding off the top five was Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs.

The list also included character like Superman, Batman, Harry Potter, and Spider-Man.
