India, Myanmar Home Secretaries begin talks in DelhiMarch 7th, 2008 - 8:17 pm ICT by admin
New Delhi, Mar.7 (ANI) :Home Secretary level talks between India and Myanmar began here today.
The Indian delegation is being led by Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and the Myanmar delegation by their Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Brigadier General Phone Swe.
The discussions are taking place on various issues, including security related matters, smuggling of arms and narcotic drugs, effective border management, border trade and cross-border projects.
This is the 14th round of annual Home Secretary level talks between both countries.
The talks would conclude on Monday. The previous round of talks was held in Myanmar in February 2007. (ANI)
