Chennai, Apr 28 (ANI): India is all set to launch ten satellites today in one single mission using Indian Space Research Organisations Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C9.

India will put the remote sensing satellite, Cartosat-2A, along with a microsatellite and eight nanosatellites, belonging to Canada and Germany into orbit.

On its 13th flight, the PSLV will launch the 690-kg Cartosat-2A and the 83 kg Indian Mini Satellite (IMS-1). The cartographical satellite will be placed in a 653-km high polar sun-synchronous orbit.

The rocket would be launched from Sriharikota.

Cartosat-2A would be used by the Indian Government for mapping purposes and management of natural resources.

An ISRO representative said in a statement: All launches are important. But, this is for the first time that ISRO is launching ten satellites together. (ANI)
