IED detected in Srinagar, defused (Lead)
October 18th, 2010 - 1:17 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Oct 18 (IANS) A major tragedy was averted in this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital Monday when an improvised explosive device (IED) was detected outside a police control room and defused, police said.
The IED was planted outside the police control room in Batmaloo area, a police official said. The IED was detected by security guards, he added.
