HuJI ‘recruit’ nabbed in Kashmir
September 4th, 2009 - 10:25 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Jammu, Sep 4 (IANS) The security forces Friday apprehended an 18-year-old youth who they claimed was a “fresh recruit” of the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
Defence spokesperson Lt. Col. Biplab Nath said, “A joint column of the Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended a recruit at the Kishtwar bus stand.
“The person has been identified as Akhtar Hussain, age 18 years and resident of Patimhal.”
According to Col. Nath, “The individual was missing since Aug 27.”
Three identity cards, one Nokia phone and miscellaneous items were recovered from the youth’s possession.
