How wearing a bra can save your life!
November 8th, 2008 - 1:42 pm ICT by ANI - Send to a friend:London, Nov 8 (ANI): A barmaid was saved by the underwire on her 6-pound Asda bra when she was stabbed in the chest by a masked mugger.
Vicky Parsons, 26, was sitting in her parked car when a 14-year-old boy lunged at her with a knife.
At first she thought it was friends playing a trick, but when she looked around was confronted by two teenage attackers with bandanas over their faces.
One held a knife to her face and demanded cash and her hand was cut as she managed to push the blade away. During a struggle the youth thrust the weapon at her chest, the point puncturing her skin.
But the blade’’s serrated edge snagged on the wire under the cup of the cheap supermarket bra and prevented it penetrating further.
Thankfully the under wire in the bra took all the shock it saved my life, The Mirror quoted Vicky, as saying.
Vicky, who lives in Hull, was taking a work break in August when the armed youth reached through her open car window and grabbed her throat. But she finally managed to get rid of them.
The attacker, who cannot be named, was sentenced to four years in a young offenders institute at Hull crown court for assault with intent to rob and grievous bodily harm. (ANI)
