Hotel building collapses in Kerala, over 10 feared trapped
February 2nd, 2010 - 12:43 pm ICT by ANIThiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Feb 2 (ANI): A section of a four storied hotel collapsed near Thampanoor in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening, leaving 10 people trapped in the debris.
The building collapsed during renovation work.
The remaining section of the hotel is also said to be in a dilapidated state.
An eyewitness said at least four persons were seriously injured and have been admitted to the nearby Medical College Hospital.
Police and the civic authorities have begun investigations into the cause of the collapse. (ANI)
