Hizbul Mujahideen militant killed in Kashmir
May 26th, 2012 - 9:11 pm ICT by IANSJammu, May 26 (IANS) A Hizbul Mujahadeen militant was shot dead by security forces in a gunfight in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir Saturday, police said.
The militant, who has been identified as Ghulam Qadir, was wanted in several cases of terrorism, police said.
Acting on a tip off, security forces raided his hideout. An exchange of fire ensued in which Qadir was killed. The security forces suffered no casualty.
An AK-47 rifle and some ammunition were recovered from the site.
