Hizbul militant killed in J-K encounter
February 20th, 2010 - 12:43 pm ICT by ANIJammu, Feb 20 (ANI): A Hizbul Mujahideen militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district today. Two special police officers were also injured in the incident.
Acting on a tip off, troops cordoned off the Arnaf area in the district, which is 130 kms from Jammu, late Friday night.
Militants fired on a party of Rashtriya Rifles troops who retaliated.
Abu Bakr is reportedly the district commander of Hizbul Mujahideen.
One AK-47 has reportedly been recovered from him. (ANI)
