Gaya, Apr. 15 (ANI): Local administration in Gaya of Bihar state has beefed up security ahead of the first phase of general elections to be held on April 16.
In the several sensitive areas of the Gaya district, the paramilitary forces have been deployed.
Police personnel are fully prepared for the uncertain situations that may arise during the first phase of the elections.
“There is no lack of security force. We just gave briefing to the troops for patrolling. We have deployed paramilitary forces for some sensitive areas. We are very much alert and ready to face any uncertain situations. We also have a helicopter for patrolling,” said M R Nayak, Superintendent of Police, Gaya District.
The run-up to the elections has been witnessing numerous cases of attacks by Maoists and other instances of clashes and killings due to inter party rivalry.
In such a scenario, the authorities are determined to ensure free and fair inter-party polls. (ANI)
