Hideout busted, recoveries made in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 23 (IANS) Two solar rockets, four explosive rods and other arms and ammunition were recovered Tuesday after security forces busted a terrorist hideout in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. A man was also arrested.

A police spokesman said the recoveries were made after the police and troops of 29 Rashtriya Rifles jointly busted a hideout in Waripora Bala village, some 40 km from Srinagar, on disclosures made by an arrested foreign guerrilla.

Two solar rockets, four explosive rods, four IED circuits, five kg explosive powder, six IED detonators, one pistol along with magazine and six rounds, one AK magazine, 121 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, satellite phone with two batteries, one radio set, one binocular, one anti-tank mine, four IED pipes and two IED fuse were recovered, according to the spokesman.
