Melbourne , May 20 (ANI): Heath Ledgers daughter Matilda Rose could get his entire fortune even though the late star left everything to his parents and siblings in his will.

Two New York legal experts have said in a paper published on respected legal website Findlaw, that under the intestacy laws of New York and California , Matilda cannot be “accidentally disinherited.”

“In this case, New York ’s intestacy laws lead us to a somewhat striking result. Matilda, who was omitted from her father’s will entirely, would be entitled to everything, the Daily Telegraph quoted them, as writing in the paper.

Filed with a Manhattan court, the will was written two years before the birth of his daughter and puts the major chunk of Ledgers into a trust.

The beneficiaries of the trust are his father Kim, mother Sally Ledger-Bell, sister Kate and half-sisters Ashleigh and Olivia.

According to the will, Ledger held 145,000 dollars of assets in the US but his fortune, estimated to be worth 20 million dollars, is mostly held in Australia .

Shortly after the will was made public, Kim Ledger issued a statement saying Matilda would not be left without an inheritance.

However, it is not yet known if her mother, actress Michelle Williams, has challenged the will or not.

Meanwhile, Kim Ledger could not be contacted for comments, but his spokesman said he was on a plane and anything to do with the will was “no one else’s business.” (ANI)
