Hamid Ansari greets people on Ram Navami
April 11th, 2011 - 3:51 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr 11 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari today greeted the people ahead of the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, which will be celebrated tomorrow.
In his message, he said: “I offer my best wishes to the people of our country on the occasion of Ram Navami.”
“On this auspicious day, let us rededicate ourselves to the enlightened teachings of Lord Rama for establishing a peaceful and harmonious society,” he added.
Ram Navami marks the birth of Lord Ram, who according to legend, rid the world of the demon Ravan - the symbol of evil and is one of the most important festivals of the Vaishnava sect of Hindus. (ANI)
