Guerrillas shoot cop in Kashmir
June 30th, 2011 - 12:47 am ICT by IANSSrinagar, June 29 (IANS) Separatist guerrillas late Wednesday evening shot and critically injured an inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police here, an officer said.
“The militants fired six pistol shots at Shabir Ahmad after calling him out of his Bemina residence this evening,” a police officer told IANS. “Three bullets hit Ahmad, before the militants escaped under the cover of darkness.”
Ahmad is battling for his life in hospital, he added.
