Government to strengthen National Schools of Drama
January 14th, 2010 - 9:28 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Jan.14 (ANI): As part of its bid to strengthen National School of Drama (NSD), the Union Government is going to revamp it.
The plan includes redevelopment of NSD Campus at Bahawalpur House, New Delhi and setting up of five Regional Centres of NSD at Bangalore, Kolkata, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra / Goa and in the North East.
The Bangalore Centre of NSD has already started functioning from February, 2009.
Under the 11th Five Year Plan, an amount of Rs. 8000 lakhs was allocated for National School of Drama for the entire Plan period. (ANI)
