Government doing its best to root out corruption: Prime Minister

Kottayam (Kerala), Apr 9(ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Saturday assured to root out corruption from his administration, saying that the Congress party has always worked for a clean and honest government.
Addressing a public meeting in poll-bound Kerala’s Kottayam district, Dr. Singh said: “I appeal for your votes on the basis of this record. I have just now mentioned some special programmes for the development of Kerala. The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government is giving every effort to deal with the menace of corruption in public life.”
The elections to the 140-member Kerala Legislative Assembly will take place on April 13. (ANI)
