Girl who killed militant fears for her family
September 30th, 2009 - 6:55 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Sep 30 (IANS) Three days after she shot dead a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist after snatching his gun, Rukhsana, an 18-year-old Muslim girl now fears for her family’s safety.
Rukhsana’s family has been shifted to Rajouri for safety.
Amid reports that LeT terrorists were about to seek revenge for the killing of their commander Abu Osama, who was shot by Rukhsana Sunday night, the Gujjar girl said she is “worried about the safety” of her family.
The militants, she told reporters in Rajouri, would seek revenge for the killing of their commander.
“I hope that the state government would take measures to provide us safety,” she said.
Superintendent of Police (Rajouri) Shafakat Watali said the police would provide protective cover to Rukhsana’s family.
