Ghulam Nabi Azad to attend JIPMER’s convocation
March 22nd, 2010 - 2:36 pm ICT by ANIPuducherry, Mar 22 (ANI): Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will on Monday deliver the convocation address and give away academic awards and medals to the students of the Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here.
The institute was earlier under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and affiliated to Pondicherry University, which was conferring all academic degrees.
Last year, the Institute was converted into an Institution of National Importance and now examinations of all academic courses are conducted by JIPMER.
Today’s convocation ceremony is the first one of this institution. (ANI)
