New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): Chief of Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor on Wednesday met the Russian Commander-in-Chief Land Forces in Moscow.
As a mark of respect to soldiers of Russian Army, who scarified their lives in World War II, General Kapoor laid floral wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
The aim of General Kapoors visit is to further the defence cooperation between the two nations and cement India’s ties with the Russian Federation that are time tested and based on continuity, trust and mutual understanding.
India and Russia share unique and time tested bonds of friendship based on strong multifaceted foundations, which have been nurtured over several decades by the leaders of both the nations.
Relations of both the countries, over the years have been characterised by stability, continuity and the growing defence cooperation reaffirms the close ties that have marked these bilateral relations.
General Kapoor attended an official banquet and met Lieutenant General Antonov Sergey Ivanovich, DA, NA Commanderin-Chief of Russian Land Forces. (ANI)
