Gangster Abu Salem shifted to Thane jail
July 28th, 2010 - 1:07 pm ICT by ANIThane (Maharashtra), July 28 (ANI) Gangster Abu Salem on Wednesday shifted to the Taloja jail in Maharashtra’s Thane District.
Salem was recently injured in Mumbai’s high-security Arthur Road Jail by a fellow prisoner, Mustafa Dossa, a member of the Dawood gang.
He was then taken to Bhopal in connection with a fake passport case and returned today.
Salem along with his companions had allegedly acquired passport from Bhopal on the basis of fake documents following which cases were registered against them.
Salem’s statement will be recorded by the court on August 4.
Salem is currently under going trials in the 1993 bomb blasts and Gulshan Kumar murder cases. (ANI)
