September 21st, 2009 - 4:38 pm ICT by ANIPune, Sept 21 (ANI): Orra, a world known diamond company, showcased an idol of Lord Ganesha made of 514-karat diamond in Pune.
The idol is made of a single piece of diamond and was found in one of Orra’s factories in Africa by a foreigner. He was surprised to find that the diamond resembled Lord Ganesh.
“The main attraction is that it is probably the biggest idol of Lord Ganesh made of diamond. It has been made using stone of 514-karat. In one of our factories in Africa where diamond sorting takes place, this diamond was found by a foreigner, who felt that it resembles to Lord Ganesh. We haven’t polished this diamond and have displaced it in its original form,” said Vijay Jain, CEO, Orra.
Supriya Sule, Member of Parliament from Pune, also visited the showroom to have glimpse of the idol.
