Fresh snowfall engulfs Manali, tourists rejoice
February 13th, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by ANIManali, Feb 13(ANI): Enhancing the pristine scenic beauty of the Himalayan region, fresh snowfall engulfed the mountains in Himachal Pradesh’s Manali district on Sunday.
Major tourist spots near Manali, such as Rohtang Pass, Maddi, Gulaba and Solang Nala were seen covered in thick blankets of snow.
The picturesque, snow-clad panorama presented a breathtaking spectacle of natural charm, much to the delight of tourists.
“The rainfall turned into snow and it was wonderful. The whole picture has changed completely. It has all turned white, it is heavenly actually. We are really enjoying ourselves,” said Divya Singh, a tourist.
Temperatures fell sharply after fresh snow.
According to agricultural experts, the cold would be good for apple farming as well for other crops.
Himachal Pradesh is blessed for its mild weather conditions, and is a favourite among both domestic and international travellers during winters. (ANI)
