Four Hizbul Mujahedeen militants arrested in Kashmir
December 21st, 2009 - 1:33 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Shopian, Dec 21 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir police arrested four Hizbul Mujahedeen (HM) militants, responsible for the attack on National Conference’s Shopian town president Abdul Rehman Watchku, on August 25.
Acting on a tip off the police arrested Jehangir Ahmad Malik and recovered a pistol from his possession.
Three more members-Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh, Mukhtar Ahmad Tantray and Shahid-were also arrested, and some ammunition was also recovered.
“The gun with which they have fired AK-56 along with magazine… were recovered. There were two pistols and some ammunition which were also recovered,” said Liyaqat Khan, police stations house officer of Shopian. (ANI)
