Four CRPF troppers wounded in Srinagar blast
July 25th, 2010 - 12:37 am ICT by IANSSrinagar, July 24 (IANS) Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were wounded in an explosion in Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar late Saturday, police said.
A senior police officer said separatist guerrillas tossed a powerful hand grenade at a CRPF bunker in the uptown Batmallo locality.
“The injured troopers were taken to hospital for treatment. The area was surrounded and searched by the security forces,” the officer said.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, he said.
