Former WB Chief Minister Jyoti Basu admitted to hospital
July 12th, 2009 - 3:23 pm ICT by ANIKolkata, July 12 (ANI): Senior Marxist leader and former Chief Minister of West Bengal Jyoti Basu was admitted to AMRI Hospital in Salt Lake following a breathing trouble this morning.
Basu turned 96, on July 8, and many followers greeted him at his residence Indira Bhavan on that day.
According to Basu’s son Chandan Basu, the former Chief Minister was admitted following restlessness and his condition has improved.
Basu was being treated in the hospital’s ICCU, sources said. (ANI)
