Former Mr. Gay UK found guilty of killing, cooking friendOctober 18th, 2008 - 3:19 pm ICT by ANI
London, October 18 (ANI): A former Mr. Gay UK has been found guilty of slaying a boyfriend before carving, seasoning, frying and chewing parts of his body.
Chef Anthony Morley, 36, who was presented with his gay title in 1993 by X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, stabbed Damian Oldfield to death before seasoning chopped bits of his thigh and frying them in olive oil. He even tasted a piece of flesh.
Though Morley had earlier denied the charge all-together saying he had been provoked to commit the crime that took place within his house, he later admitted he had treated the 33-year-olds body like a piece of meat.
The jury found him guilty after the cops revealed they had found six pieces of thigh flesh on a chopping board at Morleys home, though he is yet to be sentenced.
Oldfielss grieving mother revealed that it was a grave injustice to her son who had loved his life.
Damian was not only my son he was also my best friend, the Sun quoted her as saying.
We shared a special bond, which I can still feel, but now Im only left with memories and thats not good enough.
Damian loved life and he has had that taken away from him in the cruellest of circumstances. He was so easy going and friendly, she added.
Detective Inspector Scott Wood added: Thankfully, disturbing crimes of this type remain incredibly rare. (ANI)
