Foreign Secretary to brief media on President Patil’s China visit
May 24th, 2010 - 8:41 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, May 24 (ANI): The Foreign Secretary, Nirupama Rao, will brief the media on the visit of President Pratibha Devisingh Patil to China on Tuesday.
President Patil will embark on a five-day official visit to China from May 26-31 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
During her visit, President Patil would visit Beijing, Luoyang and Shanghai.
During the delegation level talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, the two sides will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.
President Patil will also meet other Chinese leaders, including Premier Wen Jiabao and the Chairman of the National People’s Congress Wu Bangguo.
In Luoyang, she will dedicate to the Chinese people an Indian-style Buddhist temple, which was inspired by the Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh. (ANI)
