Five militants killed in Kashmir encounter
September 16th, 2010 - 5:13 pm ICT by ANIPulwama (J-K), Sep 16 (ANI): At least five militants were killed in a fierce gunbattle with security forces in the forest area of Tral in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Thursday.
The encounter took place after security forces launched a search operation at Sajan-Dudkulan forest area of Tral, 35 kms from Srinagar.
The identity of the deceased militants could not be ascertained immediately as the operation in the area was still going on when last reports came in. (ANI)
